Updates Worth Paying Attention To

Twitter:

  • Not sure how many people have noticed or if they have read what was being updated on Twitter March 29, but now when replying you will have all 140 characters to use. Twitter is automatically adding the @usernames to the beginning of the reply without using any of your precious 140 characters.

Facebook:

  • Has anyone seen the rocket icon next to their main feed icon in the mobile app? Facebook is testing out a new feed, called the rocket feed. It is similar to Instagram's Explore page; Facebook shows you posts that are popular in the area and relevant to your interests! These posts aren't created by people you are friends with. This feature hasn't been released to everyone, so keep an eye out for it! Mashable goes into more detail on the new feature in the article linked on the picture above.

Snapchat:

  • On Friday, Snapchat released a new update to certain cities where users can search stories for what they want to see. The example Mashable's article gives is puppies; a Snapchat user can search the word "puppies" and get lost in "the world of Snapchat" (similar to YouTube). Watch for this update to maybe be on your Snapchat in the future!
